Reviewing Applications: PreventSA Incubator
We are currently interviewing finalists for Cohort #1 of the PreventSA Incubator.
This first cohort will be focused on technology and social media solutions that could decrease teenage peer-on-peer rape.
Cohort members will join our 6-month incubator, kicking off in January 2026. What they’ll get:
$50,000 to work on designing, piloting, and refining their concept
Introductions to mentors, experts, and potential sources of follow-on-funding
The opportunity to work alongside a community of innovators who all care about solving this problem
If you have a bold idea to prevent rape, but didn’t apply this round, tell us about it here! It might be a fit for future funding.

The Fund to Prevent Sexual Assault is the first philanthropic fund focused entirely on preventing sexual assault at scale. We’re survivor-led and on a mission to reduce rates of sexual assault in the U.S. by 70% by 2050. We fund creative solutions, support bold experimentation, and generate the research needed to identify and scale what works. By combining innovation with evidence, we’re building the pipeline for the next generation of prevention interventions.

Solutions targeted only at sexual abuse committed digitally or remotely; this open call is focused on contact sexual assault and rape
Sexual violence survivor support services, unless targeted at changing the behavior of survivors who are also at high risk of perpetration
General programs without a direct tie to sexual assault prevention
Research-only projects without a plan to expand beyond research
Projects solely based in K–5 education

We fund via an incubator model, providing funding and support to a cohort of innovators who are all working on similar solutions.
Each grantee will receive $50,000 over six months, plus hands-on support to help them grow, including:
An in-person kick-off (which will be held near San Francisco or New York City)
Workshops on topics relevant to the cohort, such as program design, measurement, fundraising, and scaling impact
Peer learning and support through a tight cohort of fellow innovators, who will meet monthly over Zoom
Personalized coaching to refine their strategy and prepare for evaluation
Technical assistance from Fund staff and expert advisors
Exposure to potential funders, including during an end-of-incubator Demo Day (we’ll also help with crafting an effective pitch)
By the end of the incubator, grantees are expected to:
Have launched their idea to real users
Have started to collect usage data
Have attended the in-person kick-off event and the in-person final Demo Day
